This classroom is a CELL PHONE FREE ZONE unless the cell phones are needed for an activity or students have the permission to use them during individual work. Cell phones may be collected during tests to prevent students from being distracted by texting, phone calls, and social media, as well as to remove the temptation of using them dishonestly. No student will be permitted to leave the classroom for the bathroom during a test or quiz without surrendering their cell phones.
***ANY STUDENT THAT REFUSES TO COMPLY WITH THE CELL PHONE POLICY THAT IS CAUGHT USING A CELL PHONE DURING CLASS WILL BE REFERRED TO ADMINISTRATION FOR DEFIANT BEHAVIOR. NO EXCEPTIONS. ***
Students and parents should BOTH be aware that cell phones, PER DISTRICT POLICY, are only to be used before school, in between classes, during lunch, and after school hours
Cheating Obviously, there is zero tolerance for cheating on tests and plagiarizing papers or projects. Any instance where a student is caught cheating (AND DOING SOMEONE ELSE’S WORK, COPYING SOMEONE ELSE’S WORK, OR SHARING SOMEONE ELSE’S WORK COUNTS AS CHEATING) will result in zero credit for the assessment and immediate notification of a parent/guardian.
Tardy Policy The tardy policy is embraced and enforced in this class. If you are not in the classroom at the time the door is closed, and you do not have a pass from your previous class’s teacher, please report to ISS.
Dress Code Any student deemed to be in violation of the dress code – visible undergarments, excessively short skirts/shorts, bare midriffs, ‘spaghetti’ straps, tank tops on males that expose the chest, vulgarity or profanity on the clothing, gang colors, etc. – will be referred to administration for parent contact.
